About the Job
Our practice is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician for our team! We promote a happy work environment by treating each employee like family. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years' experience working as a Veterinary Technician, is licensed in the state of Kansas, is able to place IV catheters, intubate patients for surgery and is comfortable with client education and communication.
Pay range: $23 to $25 depending on experience.

Requirements/Qualifications:
- MUST be State licensed to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in Kansas.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
- Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE.
- Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS office applications, etc.
- Basic math and ability to calculate medication dosages.
- Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety.
Experience:
- Veterinary experience: 1 year (Required)
- Veterinary Technician Certification (Required) or will have within 90 days of hiring.
We're seeking an RVT with at least ONE year of experience; a demonstrated commitment to animal welfare and health as well as a genuine love for animals and vet medicine. A successful candidate will be able to provide hands-on assistance to patients and perform basic medical procedures. We're looking for a registered licensed vet tech.
Responsibilities:
- Perform examinations and diagnostic services; laboratory tests and analyses.
- Clean and sterilize surgical tools; administer medications as prescribed by a veterinarian.
- Adhere to state laws on the storage, record-keeping, and dispensing of controlled substances.
- Perform dental cleanings and assist with all other surgeries.
